Before unweighting the lower skin, I marked and cut its trailing edge in the flap area. Then I removed the lower skin to reveal last night's final capstrips. They look just fine. I make them oversize on purpose, and will trim to the two inch width later. Then I stripped off the tape from the inner surface of the lower wing, and spent the next hour plus doing that, including removing the glue residue with WD-40, which works great. Then I removed the residue of the WD-40 with MEK then Acetone. Tomorrow I'll begin the capstrip reinforcement task, which will certainly take quite a while.
