The epoxy hardener came into Spruce yesterday, so, living only less than an hour away, I picked it up today, along with another gallon, so I'm back in the epoxy business. Today I placed micro fillets on all the ribs that needed extra reinforcement. Also, with my wife and daughter helping mix flox, we were able to complete the main spar epoxy/flox pad. With the thickness of the flox, it cooked off quickly, and was ready to sand in about four hours. I made sure that there was plenty of flox to make up the pad, which means there was a lot of squeeze-out. Getting rid of that is no easy task. I sanded on it for about an hour, and got one side done, with some progress on the other, before I decided that my sanding belt was just too dull, so quit for the night until I can get some more tomorrow.
