Brief Description:

Tonight I prepped the main spar for the rest of the epoxy/flox, and enlisted my wife and daughter to help mix as much goo as we could within the thirty minute pot life. Well, that went just fine, but only accomplished the job for about 1/4 of the main spar. So more tomorrow until it's all done. I learned from the left wing to make sure I start with ample epoxy/flox, sufficient to achieve good squeeze-out. Ther are two reasons for this. One is to ensure a pad with minimal voids, and the other is to allow for clean, square edges on top of the spar, which will take full advantage of the bonding area, and will provide a clean transition from the ribs to the spar.
