With one major mistake, today I attached the nut plates to the inboard and middle hinge plates. (Despite my efforts, I put the nutplates on the wrong side of the middle plate.) After all that, I set about trying to line up the trailing edges of the aileron and flap. First I made sure that there were no gap issues between the flap and the wing. After that, I had to admit that the flap was twisted. So that means heat. Just directing a heat gun to a large are doesn't work. So I set up a heat box, of cardboard, and directed the heat gun towards a cut opening, and am awaiting the results. We're only talking about 1/8 to 3/16 iinch, but that's enough to quite visible. More on that tomorrow.
