I began today's tasks with a conversation with Larry at Lancair, about the slight concavity in my aileron. He didn't have the answer, but I sent him some pictures, and he promised to get back to me. The concavity is chord-wise, and amounts to about .015 to .020. I could fix this with micro, but I'm concerned about the weight.
After that, I popped off the lower skin from yesterday's new flox release. It really looked great, and I'm glad I did it. This evening I spent some quality time with my long sanding board. The spar is pretty much dead flat now span-wise, except for one low spot in the middle, which shows up in the picture as a shiny area. It's not that large, but at its max is about 1/8 inch, which would be noticeable if the skin conforms to the spar. So later tonight I'll add some more flox to this area to build it up to level.
