Brief Description:

The last couple of days have not allowed me much time for working on the plane, but for right now there is not a lot to do until I can close the wing. I've ordered three quarts of Hysol, and am taking great care to check and double-check all work before I close. Tonight I replaced the slosh doors. I decided to use AN3H-4 bolts, which are drilled for safety wire. The manual does not call for this, as the bolts are secured by locking nutplates. That's fine, but these slosh doors, and the bolts that secure them to the rib, are completely inaccessable after closing. So I safety-wired them. I intend to do the same with all unaccessable bolts. Maybe by the end, I'll develop some skill at the process. For now, my safety wiring is not exactly a work of art.
