Yesterday and today I formed the capstrips for the left aileron. This morning, I separated the lower skin from the upper, thereby revealing the formed capstrips. I make the capstrips a bit wide to begin with, leaving enough to trim later. The first picture below shows the capstrips in their untrimmed form. Next picture shows the capstrips after first trim, using one inch tape to result in total of two inch capstrips. Finally, the capstrips as trimmed. Next is to reinforce the capstrips, no small task due to the small spaces.
