I began today's session with cutting out enough (I hope) two inch strips to complete the rib reinforcement. Next, after careful sanding and prep, I reinforced the BL 97 rib, which is the outboard rib forming the the fuel bays. I spent quite a bit extra time here to make sure that the reinforcement was well positioned and wetted in. These tank rib joints simply have to be just right.
By the way, the patch in the aft part of the rib patches a vent hole which I inadvertently made in the rib. Wouldn't work too well with a load of fuel.
