Brief Description:  Finished right capstrips and fitted left trim tab

Started this morning with final trimming of the last capstrip reinforcing. After that I spent a good amount of time carefully inspecting the finished work, and sanding out all surplus material, such as edges that didn't quite lay down. This trimming has nothing to do with strength, but I figure that every fraction of an ounce that I remove, assuming it isn't necessary for the structure, is weight off the airplane.

After that I laid out the cut line of the trim tab so that I could locate the trim tab spars. Once the cut line was drawn, I laid the hinge on the line to mark the limits of the hinge, which will be fastened to the upper skin of the tab. The spars have to be positioned so as not to interfere with the hinge placement. After I was satisifed with the position, I had to remove a fraction of an inch more core, then I bonded the spars to the skin and intersections with the ribs with a 50/50 micro/flox mixture. Tomorrow I'll reinforce one edge of each spar with 1 bid, and wait until the upper skin is bonded and the trim tab cut out to reinforce the other edge to both the top and bottom skins at one time.
