Brief Description:

Since last post, the main effort has been getting the door ready to bond to the door stiffener. This has been a multi-step process, beginning with making lots of releif cuts in the stiffener to get it to fit the door opening, then reinforcing the cuts from the inside, then cutting off the inside flanges that would not sit flush onto the inside of the door skin, etc. Then the door skin and stiffener had to be spaced just right from the door joggle to sit flush with the fuselage during cure. All that required multiple install and removal operations. Today Cathy and I Hysoled in the stiffener and bolted the assembly to the fuselage. Since I had to remove the flanges on the inside of the stiffeners, I'll add two bid carbon to mate the inner stiffener surface to the door skin. I was able to add one stip today, and will get in more before removing the door from the fuselage.
