Over the weekend I continued to get things ready for closing the VS. Toward that end, I've placed the drain tubes in the forward VS web and bottom of the fuselage, have run the com2 antenna cable through the same web, reinforced the forward web capstrip. Today I fabricated the VS inspection panel for the right side from 4 bid I had laid up several weeks ago. Brad Simmons told me in no uncertain terms not to use the kit supplied aluminum plates. As far as I got today was to cut out the right side, and prepare the inside for laying up the flange for nutplates to mount the inspection cover. I'll do the left side next, before placing the right flange.
