Brief Description:

I have spent a huge amount of time this summer fabricating and fitting interior panels for upholstery. First, I used the Divinycel panel material supplied with the kit, but added one layer of carbon fiber to each side for strength. With the later panels, especially the baggag compartment panels (other than the floor), I started with 1/8 inch foam and vacuum bagged my own panel material, using one layer of carbon fiber to each side. That process worked very well. After that, I had to form and fit a quarter round carbon piece to make the transitiion from the vertical side panels to the horizontal arm rests. To do that I started with a wooden right angle form with a one inch radius cut in on my router table, then formed a one layer carbon strip, about 4 inches per side. With the side panel in place, I bonded that piece to the side panel in place, and later reinforced the one layer with another layer on each side. I still have the pilot side cabin panels to mount, but all others are fit, and mounting tabs set and fitted with nutplates for mounting.
