Brief Description:  Hoist

I'm still working. Since last post, I've mounted a trolley hoist on the ceiling of the shop, to aid in lifting the top of the fuselage on and off the bottom, as is necessary for several reasons. My practice as I bond in the windows is to clamp them in lightly after applying the Hysol, then place the top of the fuselage on the bottom, then bolt it into position. Then I tighten the clamps and allow a full cure before removing the top and starting the next window.

The hoist is a pretty simple affair, with ten feet of travel along the trolley rail. This setup works great for one person operation, and will be invaluable when it comes time to bond the top to the bottom. Please, no comments about standing under an overhead load, or using load straps for hoisting. I know.
