I've now finished filling and rough sanding the top skins of the flaps, and have completed the first round of pinhole filling on one flap. Ran out of Evercoat, so completing that will have to wait for a couple of days. Today I filled the ends of the flaps at the aileron end, and filled the cores at the fuselage ends. I'm pleased with the way the flap skins turned out. The result is a practically dead flat surface, much better than the concave surface I started with. Judging from the amount of micro I swept up after sanding, the weight penalty for this filling is really quite low.
