Brief Description:

I've spent the last few days I've spent a lot of time sanding, filling pinholes, sanding again, finding and sanding more pinholes, and finallly today priming the leg fairings, wheel pants (second coat) and inspection panels (also second coat). It's a tedious and time consuming task. The results today, though, look really good. I'm getting better at spraying, with the result of very little orange peel and no other apparent painting defects. Of course, the priming did reveal a couple of missed pinholes and maybe one other area that needs a bit of attention, but I'm going to call it finished for now, and will fix those very minor issues at the next paint stage. One of my main goals in doing this painting was to learn how to prepare for paint with these relatively small parts. I really do not expect to do the final paint job, but it will help if I can get the plane properly prepared and primed.
