Brief Description:

I have a lot more respect for those who spend their days doing bodywork. It's hard work, and there's no way to sugar coat it. But today, finally, I can begin to see what it's all about. After last week's micro, then block sanding, then more block sanding, yesterday and today I applied Evercoat glazing putty to fill the small surface irregularities and pinholes. I finally determined that a skim coat of Evercoat over the whole area was much more time efficient that trying to fill each pinhole and minor blemish individually. I followed that with random orbit sanding with 80, then 120 grit. For the curved parts of the leg fairings, I wrapped a 3/4 inch dowel about ten inches long with pipe insulation, and put sandpaper stip around that. Works very well. WLS primer tomorrow.
