Last night I discovered that I made a goofball mistake. I cut the aileron idler inspection hole too big, so that the hole overlapped the forward shear web capstrip, which forms a part of the fuel bay. No good. So yesterday and today I have been undoing all of my work on the hole and the cover. No small task. This is another case where the manual is not the most helpful. It suggests a 6 inch square hole, but there is just not enough room for one that big between the leading edge and the capstrip. I figured that out on the left wing, but apparently forgot what I learned. So now I'm paying the price, which will amount to about three days of work, or about six hours.
