More regular progress tonight, as I get closer to the magic closing of the left wing. A couple of weeks ago, I test fit, again, the lower aileron skin. When I did, I noticed that there is about 1/16 inch of concavity in the skin, fore to aft. When I noticed that, I checked, and sure enough, that concavity translated to the ribs when I initially fitted the skin to the ribs. So, I added a bit of micro to the ribs. Next, I decided to add two additional ribs, because that concavity in the skin will not go away between the ribs as specified. So tonight I sanded the ribs flat, and reinforced the new ribs.
Also, I filled the margins of the bellcrank inspection plate with flox/micro, and set it to cure on the ribs. Probably not necessary, but it won't hurt.
