Fitting the aileron trim servo to the lower skin of the alieron is no small fiddle. But with care and patience, it seems to have come together. One thing I decided to do differently was to make nutplate mounting pads for the servo mounting screws. This provides the bulk necessary to mount solidly the nutplates. Also, I was able to cut the opening necessary to accommodate the servo arm to the aileron trim, which I let in to the upper aileron skin. I haven't potted in the trim tab yet, but will do so soon.
More importantly, I was able to start the new year off right, by flying a bit with my friend, Steve Ashby. We flew some practice approaches in my Cutlass, and resolved to continue to do so each month. Maintaining instrument profeciency is a real challenge, and Steve is a great help and friend.
