Brief Description:

Because I have never performed these tasks before, I'm trying to be as careful as possible, and it takes a lot of time. All I got done tonight, in almost two hours, was to trim up a little more of the wing trailing edge, and micro in the aileron spar. The manual says to cut one side and the honeycomb in the hinge and actuator arm mounting areas, for reinforcement later. This I did, and it made the task of lining up everything much more difficult. Next time I'll just remove about one half inch of the material where the spar bonds to the aileron, thereby allowing the spar to remain rigid enough to hold its shape during mounting. As it is, the spar is quite wiggly, and the hinge mounting areas are quite flexible. To help, and to get the spar as near as vertical as possible, I hot glued two sections of pre-preg to the spar, which kept the spar pretty well straight, and gave me enough surface area to hold a level against to check the angle.
