Just had enough time today to reinforce the BL 75 rib inside the fuel bay.
Last night I applied a test stirp of peel ply, and removed it this morning. It really leaves a nice finish, but I'm not convinced that's really necessary on internal parts, such as rib reinforcing. But it may have some value in soaking up excess epoxy, which can save weight. To test the usefulness of this, today I cut two strips of peel ply and weighed them. Then I applied them to the BL 75 rib reinforcements. After curing, I'll remove them tomorrow and weigh them, thus determining what amount of epoxy was absorbed. I'm betting that it's not really much. We'll see.
