Brief Description:

Haven't been able to work on the ES much lately, but finally it appears that I'm about done with the elevators and hstab. After considering my plan for the trim tab servo fairing, I decided not to leave the tabs on the side. I finally just trimmed them off, leaving a much cleaner look. The fairing hs now simply bonded to the servo inspection panel, and will just overlap the elevator at the back.

With that accomplished, I put a 2 bid layup to the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer, at the joint between the upper and lower skins. This is not called for in the manual, but I understand that it is common. Since the upper skin is bonded only with Hysol, this seems like pretty reasonable insurance against delamination.

Next on deck is cutting down the tables to a lower height to accommodate the wings, then making the wing cradles and getting started on the wings, which are at a nearby airport along with the fuselage.
