Well, I'm losing my innocence about the manual and plans. The manual calls for the inboard elevator rib to have a 30 degree angle. That's fine, but the manual says to prepare a six bid layup on a flat surface to make the rib. Huh? No mention of how to put that 30 degree bend in it. The choices are to make it flat as suggested, cut it at the bend line and treat it as a two piece rib, or what? I decided that it would be best to fashion a form from some scrap sheet metal and put the layup on the form, so by gollly that's what I did. We'll see tomorrow how it turns out.
