All the bonding surfaces were thoroughly sanded and prepped, including all spar caps, ribs and the wing tips. Care was taken to ensure Hysol couldn't get into the dry bay in each wing.
This two weeks of Lancair's Builder Assist program is very helpful in learning the techniques required to complete a composite aircraft. Additionally, emphasis is placed on critical components to ensure their completion is done properly, i.e. control surfaces, center wing section, canopy. Lancair's certified jigs were used to make sure properl mating of major components is completed precisely.
