Brief Description: Fabricate and Install Wing Tip Weights
Greg and I made a wood mold to fabricate a Wing Tip weight. Purchased Lead roofing pipe. Cut it into pieces and melted it down in a frying pan skillet then poured it into the mold. Took several trys to get it somewhat smooth and free of contaniment particles but it finally came out good. Let the weight cool a bit, then turned over the mold and allowed the weight to fall out. Was able to use the same mold to fabricate left and right weights. The weights slightly heavy but the expectation is that they will come close to balanced upon painting. Meanwhile if we need more weight will attach and ounce or two of the left over tire weights.
