Brief Description:  Replaced Lower Engine Mount Bolts

One of the things that Greg noticed during Wednesday's John Dwyer review was that the lower engine mount bolts had been installed with a slightly oversized nut as a spacer. We decided to replace it with the proper length bolts. We lifted the engine slightly by tiing a rope from an overhead beam to the propeller shaft. We removed the nut and tapped the bolt out. The lower engine mount promptly shifted slightly and then the fun began. It took us another two hours to align the lower engine mount hole with the firewall hole. When aligned the bolt slipped in with minimal pressure. I used a needle nose vice grips to push the bolt while greg used a couple of pry bars to move the lower engine mount into position.

We repeated the process today on the lower right engine mount. I'm sure the whole process is much easier when the engine is not mounted.
