The flap handle has been fixed in place since I got the kit. There is spring loaded button on top that was frozen in place. I freed the bolts holding the handle and with some careful twisting was a able to remove the aluminum tube from inside the handle. There was evidence of rust. The tube was cleaned of rust. The spring was removed and cleaned, lubricate was sprayed down the flap handle and on the aluminum tube, and the handle was re-assembled. The spring loaded button works great.
