Brief Description:  First engine start

Started the engines for the first time. Left engine was no problem. Right engine started but run very poorly. After looking for obvious issues tried to restart and the engine had a hydraulic lock. Further investigation found the primer solenoid for the engine had stuck open and filled the cylinders with fuel! Removed the spark plugs and drained a bunch of fuel from the cylinders. Removed the solonoid and disassembled it and found it was jammed with machining debris. After cleaning it out it was reinstalled until a new one is received. Engine was started and run for a very short time. Will need to change the oil before a restart is performed.
Also found that if one engine was running the other engine's starter would not engage. This ended up being a "feature" of the Verticle Power VP-X that the start curcuit is disengaged if there is an engine running at over 600 RPM. A call to Verticle Power found that this can not be changed. Will have to run the starter solenoids from a different curcuit.
