Today, I began to trim the windshield. Initially, I took 3/8 of an inch off the bottom center part. Then, 1/2 inch across the top back. For those, I used a cut off wheel and my air grinder. It worked great, except I have plexiglass small bits everywhere! I set the windshiled on my two large saw horses with a blanket drapped over them. Finally, I took a bit more off the lower section to even it up on the fuselage. I used my belt sand for the final trimming. I may want to take a bit more off the bottom to lower it all a bit more. As you can see in the photo, its a bit forward on the extension and I have some elevation on top I can lower for a better fit around the wings.
