Brief Description:  Dorsal Fin Fairing

Today, I worked primarily on fiberglassing the dorsal fin together. My first batch took forever to cure, so I spent some time adding more rivets to the cabin floor. In addition, I began to work on the flap controls.

I found that the .035 tubing Murphy used for the flap attachment tubes is no longer available. So, I purchased some .049 material. Since the end caps were already riveted with SS rivets to the flap horms, I filed and sanded with a drum sander to create a thinner wall on the tube to accept the end cap. For the other end, I'll ask my friend Charlie to machine the two end caps down so they can fit in the .049 thick wall.

In the evening, I went back to the shop and added a couple more layers of fiberglass after some sanding.
