Today, I worked on the interface between Station 7 and 8. I riveted the two bearings on the two aileron control horns. To make this simpler, I used a 1 inch forstner bit to drill a hole into a 2x4. That held the bearing in place while I match drilled the holes into the horn. I also spent quite a bit of time fabricating the two brackets from raw stock to hold the aileron horn in place. Once complete, I deburred and primed everything, then did the final riveting. What the pictures don't show are the 2 or 3 inch shear webs underneath the structure.
