Today, I had a surprise. Ross Miller, a Moose builder from the Tuscon area, was in St. Louis on business and called to see if he could come up. So, a one hour drive later, he had the grand tour of my shop. We celebrated with great Barbeque at "Big Sticky's" in Troy, MO, some of the best in the St. Louis area. I then drove him over to Charlie Eubanks to see Charlie's new Rebel. What a day!
Speaking of that -- I started the morning working on the mid control tube hangar bracket. I had it all drilled and was trimming the edge when I realized I mis-cut it. So, while at Charlie's, we cut out a new blank for the bracket and bent the flange, Charlie has a machine that can do 1/4" radius bends. Then, when I got back home, I re-made the piece, and got it installed. A 2 hour job became a 5 hour job. Buit -- it is really nicre and I got a really good fit.
Tomorrow, prime the tube and I'm done with the control tube assembly. Ready for skinning.
