Today I worked on the control tube assembly for the left wing. I completed the tube end assembly. I had some difficulty with my rivet puller, in the end it just needed a bit more oil. The stainless steel 3/16" rivets are hard to pull. After I match drilled the end bracket to the spar, I marked the location for the 1/2" hole to hold the bushing. Prior to drilling out to 1/2", I match drilled the spot (see picture two) on the center bracket. That will make it much easier to layout accurately. I then drilled the end bracket out to 1/2" and drilled and countersunk the brass bushing. I still need to trim both brackets to the final shape.
