Today was a very productive day. I spent time cleaning up the spar caps and trimming to size. In addition, I drilled the holes for the push rods in the two doublers and the main spar. I used a high quality hole saw to drill the two holes on the drill press. I cleco'd the two doublers together, drilled through both at the same time, then drilled the holes through the main spar. I cleaned them up with a dremel and files. Later, I worked on the right main spar extension, backdrilled per the plans, and then began to layout the extra holes (including lightening holes) per the plans. This latter step takes some time.
I should finish the spar extensions tomorrow, and then begin to enlargen all the holes as required.
