I've been working on the instrument panel layout for the last several months. Today, I removed the Instrument panel from the aircraft and layed up the cutout for the radio stack. I drilled #40 holes in each corner, then trimmed close with a dremel cutoff wheel, then a sanding abrasive wheel, and then files. I made a set of angles to affix the stack of trays to the instrument panel, I'll rivet them with countersunk rivets. Next, I layed out he cutout for the VM-1000C and got it rough cutout. I'll smooth it up tomorrow.
