Today, I went to Charlies to cut a bracket out of some .063 he had. At home, I drilled and then bent it to shape. Too short -- ugh! So, I cut it in two pieces and welded in an extension. I also welded a flange along the length of the bracket for stiffness. Finally, I fit it and it worked perfectly. I cleaned it up and will drop it off to be powder coated tomorrow.
