Today, I removed and deburred each Skybolt flange, countersunk where necessary, and then primed and put them back on. The ones across the top are countersunk as the top of the cowl fits over the protrusion. Along the sides, it wasn't necessary as the cowling butts up against the forward skin. I won't afix or final drill for the fasteners until I'm sure I have the cowling back far enough for spinner clearance.
Four bolts came in the mail yesterday for the prop. I purchased my prop overhauled from Propeller Parts, Inc in Florida, and it came without long enough bolts for a spinner assembly. They were kind enough to forward four of the right length to attach my particular spinner. Then, I'll get a friend to come over and help put the prop on and measure the exact clearances.
