Brief Description:  The Engine Arrived

Over the last few days, Ruth and I droved to Florida to pick up my engine. I purchased it from Josh at Flagler Air Exchange and had it overhauled at Flightline Engines and Services, Inc. in Jupiter, Fl. We visited friends/family both coming and going, and it was a great opportunity to save on freight etc. It is an O-540 A1D5 converted to A4D5 S/N 4111-40 during the major overhaul. The engine has 1700 hours TTSN, 0 SMOH. All internal steel parts were magnafluxed by Aviation Propellors Inc. The connecting rods by Gold Coast Accessories. All the non-ferrous material was dye-checked for cracks. The camshaft was overhauled by Aircraft Specialties Services, Inc. All ADs were complied with during the overhaul.

Although the pictures don't show it, I have the flywheel, an oil filter attach, a vacuum pump drive, and the mounting ears. The ears are the large hole type.

I plan to use the B&C all electric airplane package as well as P-Mags. I'm assured the six cylinder version will be available by spring.
