I built a work table per plans from my friend Charlie Eubanks. It's the same size as the table recommended by Murphy, but made from 2x6's with a Birch Ply top. It's built in two sections, two 8' long tables, leveled and held together in the center by a 1" square wood key dadoed into each cross 2x6 at the center.
