Today, I got a late start, and consequently, was only able to trim the horizontal stabilator rear spar for the elevator horn cut out, add rivnuts for the inspection hole covers on the horizontal stab, and then correct a hinge problem.
When I first mated the two parts, the right hinge on the horizontal stab was not correctly aligned with the female hinge on the elevator. As I recalled, I had mixed the epoxy primer, set the hinge, and got called away before I completed torquing all four bolts. Consequently the epoxy primer set up and the hinge was a bit out of line. I removed the hinge, and found the primer was built up more on one side than the other. I cleaned both parts, re-primed and re-attached/torqued the four bolts. It now fits perfectly.
Today, I'll set the parts aside and begin work on the wing rear spars.
