Today, I did some more misc on the engine. I secured a couple of things through the firewall with Ruth's help. Then, I did some more fiberglass work on the cowling and then fit it for the last check. Everything looked good so we pulled it back off. In addition, I cut my Oxygen tank brackets down. They were for a Jumbo D tank and I purchased a smaller D tank. It involved drilling out some spot welds, cutting a new slot in the stainless, then rebuilding them. I took them to my friend Joe to spot weld again. Later this week, I'll bolt them in place, but am waiting on some 1/4 inch nutplates.
