Today, I worked hard to complete the cowling. I enlarged the hole for the air inliet to the carb, then cut a piece of pvc to form the snout. I fiberglassed it in place, then put some spray foam around to create a filet. I'll sand it later today, then add more fiberglass.
In addition, I filled the extra holes (1/2") from the earlier fitting mistake. I cut them out with a hole saw, and glued in place with fiberglass resin. I then added a strip of fiberglass cloth both on the inside and outside of the aft edge of the top cowling. More tomorrow.
