Brief Description: Rear Bench Seat

Today, I worked on the rear bench seat. I ordered my foam from Oregon Aero and they had some questions about the sizing they couldn't determine from the plans. First, I made up the top horizontal piece, including the end pieces that affix to the brackets near the cargo door. Next, I fabricated the six legs. Finally, I layed out the .020 panel per the plans, drilled #40 holes around the edges every 1.5 inches, and then layed it over the three tubes with lines drawn down the center of the tubes for alignment. In Image 2, you can see I mistrimmed the upper center tube. I fixed it with another piece of tubing that just fit in the center of the 1 inch tube, six inches long forming a splice. Tomorrow, the gussets.
