Today, I spent quite a bit of time cleaning up the tail wheel bore -- it needed quite a bit of finishing. There was a small ridge near the bottom of the bore that kept the stinger from seating properly. Then, I spent quite a bit of time drilling the tail wheel to the stinger. It required a 3/16 inch hole from each side, then bored out to 1/4 inch. They turned out pretty good, one was slightly off center but not an issue. This is an area where the factory could really help the average builder out, as the potential for a mistake on an expensive part is huge.
