Today, I planned to install the prop, mixture and throttle controls I received from McFarlane. Unfortunately, they didn't fit. I ordered the RV-10 controls because they were close, all a bit long. I thought I would be able to use some slack behind the engine. However, they were so thick/stiff I wasn't able to take out the slack. So, using them, I measured and will return and order custom controls. Ugh -- cost just went up.
I did however, install the universal control to the cabin heat box and the carb heat. The Cabin heat box fit ok, and I'll have to trim the other a bit. not really an issue.
