Today, I spent four hours working on the airbox, completing the carb heat flap/arrangement and final riveting everything together. Ugh! I should have just bought a box from ACS, As this one cost me easily a weeks work.
When the mail came, my mag adapters were there. I spent some time cleaning them up, and smoothed the finished surfaces out on a pieces of 320 sandpaper on a flat surface (table saw). I then installed and timed. This was pretty easy! I put some assembly lube on the gears before installing as there was a bit of rust on the gear brackets. I cleaned them up first.
