Ugh! A day of wandering. Today, I spent an inordinate amount of time on the properller governor. I ordered new longer studs for the Hartzell governor to fit. By the way, they were $14.50 each! Three came out very easy. The other one is still locked in place. I tried a vice grip, no luck. I heated the stud up and then let it cool, no luck. I used a stud remover, it broke off one half inch from the case. Now, I've been putting PB Blaster penetrating oil on it every hour. We'll see. Finally, I began work on adapting the Vans Air Box. There is quite a bit of work to do on this. I spent the afternoon cutting out the mounting bracket to fit my carburetor. In addition, I needed to file down an edge on the carburetor.
