Brief Description: Cabin Windows

Today, I spent several hours looking/thinking about my fuel system and how to best route the fuel lines. Next, I worked to cut out the window openings on the right side of the aircraft. First, I marked them on the inside, drilling holes that matched the tooling holes to hold them in place. Then, I moved the frames to the outside, cleco'd them in place, and traced the openings. Then, I drilled a hole in each corner, then began to cut out between each corner. The first cut was approximately 1/2 inch from the finish edge. The second within 1/8 of an inch, and then a final cut. I sanded the corners with a large drum sander on my electric drill, and used a file on the flat parts. I was very pleased with how it turned out.
