Today, I worked to install the nutplates under the forward floor panel and the #2 carrythrough. This will allow removal of the floor panel that covers the control torque tube. In addition, I made up the two torque tubes that control the elevator and the ailerons. Finally, I broke out the torch and accomplished the Murphy Aircraft Mod to the control stick tube. This included adding two stiffiners to the elevator attach point, as well as adding small welds on the corners of the control stick tabs. The most difficult part was cleaning off the powder coating prior to welding.
