Brief Description:  Inner Fllor

Today I began installing the seat rails. Ugh! I sure wish Darryl had made the seats a bit wider -- they don't quite center up on the shear web angles below. So, your're left with deciding where to cheat on edge distance etc. I'm sure they just used the same seat as the rebel to reduce parts count. So, I spent quite a bit of time just laying things out and thinking, then carefully drilling one or two holes and checking for clearance in the angle below. On the inner rail, only one side is over an angle, the other side simply rivets to the floor. As far as layout, I started the rails three inches aft of the Station 3 angle edge. It appears that will give me sufficient room to slide the seat off the front of the rails and not interfere with the instrument panel or the stick. Tomorrow, I'll finish drilling then trim the center floor panel to fit, and then begin working on the floor piece over the control assembly.
